Owner/CrossFit Level 2 Certified Trainer
USASF Certification

Matt Shindeldecker has been through a life changing transformation due in great part by CrossFit. As someone with a full schedule, an active family of 6, a job that often takes him away from home and a small business he thought he had all the excuses in the world to remain out of shape and unfit. After just a short time participating in the "Sport of Fitness" that is CrossFit he quickly realized that regardless of age, level of physical fitness, height, weight or coordination anyone can obtain their goals if they want to put forth the effort in making that goal happen. He is now driven by results, both his personal goals and the goals of others that walk through the door at CrossFit Crave. He loves to see the smile of one of our new athletes when they learn their first kipping pull-up as much as he enjoys the loud grunt of one of the experienced athletes as they PR on a heavy snatch.

Matt has been CrossFitting since March, 2011 and received his Level 1 CrossFit Certification in April 2012. He has been Certified in speed, flexibility, and compression band therapy by Coach Dick Hartzel founder of "JumpStrech". Matt coaches Football for Celina High School in which he also coordinates their off season strength and conditioning program. He and his wife Jen own and operate Celina Gym and Cheer where he holds a USASF Certification and coaches tumbling, partner stunting and competitive cheerleading.

Favorite Bible Verse: Luke 6:37 "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

CrossFit has changed Tyler's life completely. In high school, Tyler ran Cross Country and Track. For him running was the only sport he had any interest in. After about a month of his stepfather, Matt, coming home from this place called CrossFit Crave did Tyler finally decide to try it out. Tyler started in May of 2011. At first he wasn't sure if it was for him. Every time he stepped in the door and seen there was a bar movement, he got disappointed. After two weeks, Tyler was hooked.

Sophomore year Tyler was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. After four years of medications working then wearing off, Tyler his family and GI doctor decided to have surgery. On March 11, 2013 he had his entire large intestine and part of his small intestine removed. After surgery Tyler had an iliostomy bag. This did not stop him from doing CrossFit. Nine months later on December 11, 2013 Tyler had the bag removed. Since then he has had zero pain and is hitting big PR's.

CrossFit for Tyler is about more than just working out. CrossFit is about building a community. Tyler received his Level 1 Cert in March of 2014, and was one of the greatest accomplishments he has made thus far. He loves educating and encouraging people to do their best so he jumped on board and received his Level 2 cert in March of 2019. Tyler can honestly say that stepping into CrossFit Crave was the best thing he could have done. Without CrossFit, Tyler wouldn't be as strong physically or mentally as he is now, and would not have been able to meet the amazing people that he has at Crave.

Dee Dee’s fitness journey began early in life with gymnastics. This led her to interest in fitness.

Dee Dee has her L2 certificate and began coaching in 2016. She joined the Crave family in 2019. DeeDee says “the best place I would ever want to be at Crave!! Crave has been the best thing to happen to me. I not only get coached by the most amazing people but I have learned what true compassion means in helping others. Coaching is fun and rewarding it’s not just something I do.”

Little tidbit: If there are three movements that Dee Dee had to eliminate from the programmers memory: swim, run and bike.

Nate Kirwen

CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer

Nate is married to his wife Katy, and they have two daughters. Nate grew up in Gibsonburg, Ohio where he was active in high school athletics including basketball and football.  Following high school, he attended the University of Toledo where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. His college years were when he took a real interest in fitness for the purpose of health and not simply to stay in-shape for a sport.

College and the years after consisted of a variety of self-led workout programs at whatever recreation center or “Globo-Gym” was in the area. Structured programming and a focus on the essentials outside of the gym like nutrition and recovery were non-existent. Nate moved back to the area after living in Alabama and joined CrossFit Crave in 2016. While this membership didn’t last very long, the CrossFit seed was planted. After a few years of attempting to do this own thing when it came to fitness, Nate came back to CrossFit Crave in 2019 and hasn’t looked back.

For Nate, the two major differentiating factors for CrossFit are the community and possibly to compete with both himself and others. Most people look at a gym and think the only outcome is better fitness but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Getting involved at Crave has led to personal and professional development, a much better view on nutrition and, of course, better fitness. All these things led Nate to obtain his Level 1 Certification in 2021 in hopes to share CrossFit with others in our community.

Debbie began CrossFit as a way to live a healthy life. Growing up in Celina, she had no background with sports or physical fitness prior to high school.  In order to maintain the lifestyle she desires for her and her family she understood the importance of living her best healthy life. Once she walked to the door and experienced her first class in June of 2012, she quickly became hooked. One of her greatest joys of CrossFit is being able to push athletes out of their comfort zone whether it’s walking through the door or lifting more than they did the day before. Her biggest goal in coaching is showing her athletes their potential. Growing them into the person God created them to be.

Debbie is a former special education teacher now turned Mary Kay Independent Sales Director. She has 3 wonderful kids - Grant, Noah and Bella.

CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer

Barry has been with the CrossFit community since 2011. He stumbled into the functional fitness world while training for his first Tough Mudder obstacle course. Using his background in weightlifting, power lifting, and strongman, CrossFit became the perfect way to not only train for obstacle courses, but also for his semi-pro football career with the two time National Champion Lima Warriors. Already being "hooked" after his first CrossFit workout (a modified version of "Nasty Girls"), Barry began to notice changes in his appearance and an explosive increase in his strength and stamina.

"I was shedding body weight, but still packing just as much, if not more, 'punch' on the football field, as well as moving faster and more efficiently. My squat, clean, deadlift, presses, everything began to increase (up to 50 lbs in some cases). Plus it was awesome to begin working on things I always thought looked liked fun such as hand stands, rope climbs, and double-unders. I knew I had found not only a way to train for my activities, but also a complete lifestyle change!"

Barry uses his passion for learning/teaching and helping others in his full time career as a middle school science teacher at Parkway Middle School. He also has over ten years experience coaching for varsity football, middle school baseball, and training athletes of all ages. Barry first earned his Level 1 CrossFit trainer certificate in the spring of 2016 to combine his passions for coaching/teaching and a fitness liftestyle together to help others achieve their goals to lead a healthier life.

Bo Maus

CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer

A little bit about Bo? Bo has three Boston terriers and a fiance, Kendra. Story ends. ;)

Bo was initially against CrossFit before he started a couple years ago (someone smart talked the sense into him). But, he eventually saw how much better he and others had become. The community of CrossFitters at Crave was another selling point for Bo.

Bo started coaching because he saw how coaches impacted not only himself but others in the community. He wanted to have that impact on people as well. And, soon enough Bo got his Level 1 and began coaching. He is known for his selflessness on helping others and picking up classes to coach when needed. His strength also is helping those who need modifications to movements during WODS. During class, Bo goes over and beyond explaining movements while fine tuning weak movements through skills work and exercise therapy. He pays attention to detail and constantly looks to improve himself, others and even the entire environment at the box.

Bo grew up in Spencerville, Ohio and coached football for 4 years. He enjoys golf and sporting events.

Ron is married to Jami Winhoven with 3 sons, twins Mason & Alex and Arron.

Ron started his new found love for the CrossFit gym in July 2017. At that time, he had just finished the MIT program from Apollo Career Center and needed to get back in shape.

Ron had always been involved in sports, (football, wrestling, baseball, etc). He previously worked out at your typical gyms but knew I needed something more. So, he jumped ship and join the Crave family!

He says he needed the push from others with the same goal and same drive, so he came to the Crave community! (Hooray!)

One of the best parts about coaching is watching people improve their health, develop better technique, improve strength and gymnastics they thought were once impossible.

Like many Crossfitters before him, Dylan's introduction to the sport of fitness was a life changing event. Through his middle and high school years being in shape for a year-round soccer schedule was very much a priority. But like many young adults, transitioning from high school to college to the real world presented its challenges. Finding the ambition to study and work was hard enough let alone make time for fitness goals. Eventually other vices and playing music in dive bars became more of a priority than anything. One big wakeup call and a helluva bad year told him it was time for major change.

Dylan began his Crossfit career in May of 2011 by enrolling in the ramp-up course at Crossfit Crave. It's been all downhill from there. Within a week he knew he was hooked. The community feel kept him coming back and the rest is history. Dylan received his level 1 certificate in August of 2012, Level 2 cert in August 2017, and looks forward to diving headfirst into coaching. Dylan also holds a BS in Biological sciences from Wright State University and is a chemist at the Lima Refinery.

Lora started CrossFit in March of 2014. She had always wanted to try it but claimed she was too intimidated. Her husband, Andy, decided to bring their children to one of Crave’s intro classes and told her when he got home he was going to start. Andy then said that Lora could easily do it too! She went and Lora was hooked and loved it from day 1…. ok, besides the med ball/burpee WOD she claims.

Lora loves the variety of workouts and the strength training, but most of all she’s proud of the community of people at CrossFit Crave.

Ms Lora has taken a huge hand in helping kids and teens at CrossFit Crave. Her dedication and passion to help kids (her inner teacher skills are amazingly nice in this situation), has brought so many people the joy of becoming healthy and the best person they can be.

McKenzie Fishbaugh

CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer

McKenzie’s fitness journey started at a very young age and has followed her throughout life. She was an all-star cheerleader, soccer player and a swimmer. While McKenzie was in college, she wanted to change the intensity of my fitness. She began her CrossFit athlete journey in 2016. While falling instantly fell in love with the sport, she joined the box’s competition team. She then traveled to several CrossFit box’s to compete. After graduating at Ball State, McKenzie moved back to St Henry and joined CrossFit Crave community.

CrossFit Crave has changed her outlook on CrossFit entirely. She gives credit to the Crave atmosphere that bring friendliness and encouragement to the mix of everything great. Even though McKenzie has had a few injuries setting her back, the Crave members pushed her even harder than before to get back on track and take full advantage of her strengths. This led her to taking the L1 CrossFit course.

McKenzie considers CrossFit as a stress relief, a sport and a friendly hangout. She is very passionate to teach other athletes something that she absolutely love to do! She’s such an asset and her positive attitude in the box is contagious.

When Dylan was younger, he lived in the gym where it was basically his home. Members of Crave would call him “Little Rich”. Dylan went from being a small kid lifting heavy stuff to a strong athlete in no time (even with his short hiatus). He was an absolutely joy to watch throw down with the big boys.

Dylan enjoy roller blading and even likes a game of hockey now and then. Where do you find Dylan in the summer? Spending time out on the lake with friends and family if he’s not working or at the gym!

When Tony isn’t getting crazy with work, he’s a huge OSU Football fan, enjoys golf and baseball.

Tony enjoys pushing everyone past their redline because that’s where the best results and improvement are found. Him and his wife became hooked on CrossFit because of the community that pushes each other and lifts each other up all while competing to get the best times. We all do the same workouts and when a group feels the same pain and accomplishments, the group becomes more like family.

CrossFit Level 2 Certified Trainer

Ashley holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's as an Intervention Specialist from Wright State University. She also has a license in Educational Administration from Bowling Green State University. She has practiced CrossFitting since September 2011 and became a certified Level 1 trainer in August 2012. Coaching is not something new to Ashley, as she coached softball and volleyball from the junior high to Varsity level for 8 years. The more she fell in love with the sport of CrossFit, the more she was interested in spreading her passion to those around her.

Throughout the years, Ashley had tried every mode of fitness. From running, to strength training, to group classes at the local YMCA. "I thought I was in shape. I worked out every day for an hour and ate a balanced diet. But I never felt strong and always looked more like a bean pole.

Ashley's life was in a bit of a tail spin when a friend introduced her to CrossFit. From the first day she stepped foot in Celina's Crave box, she never looked back. "It gave me an outlet. A place to push all of my worries aside and focus on myself and becoming a better person. I knew it was time to take control and build myself back up." She quickly fell in love with the movements, the programming, and the results. But most of all she fell in love with the people and the community. "I soon realized that the people at our box had so much to teach me. I learned the difference between motivation and inspiration. Staring at long time CrossFitters with their six packs and killer bis and tris is what motivated me to get to the box every day and nix processed foods. But then you also have the athletes who start out at over 300 pounds and are now running a mile without stopping. That's inspiration. What more could you ask for.

“I love trying new activities and learning new sports, also a big fan of The Office…” says Austin.

He started CrossFit to become more fit and ended up with a great family. Austin took his Level 1 to further his knowledge and education about CrossFit as a whole so that he could help others better themselves physically and mentally. Austins strength is that he’s a fast learner, he’s not scared to take on new tasks and movement wise gymnastics was a strong suit for him.

CJ Seibert

Specializations
Strength Training
Conditioning

CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer

CJ grew up in Coldwater. Through school, he played every sport he possibly could. Throughout high school, these included football, wrestling and track. CJ graduated in 2019 from Ohio University with a bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology.

I have always been one for trying new things and in my sophomore year of college, that’s exactly what I needed. I knew exercise was great for positively increasing your mood, but the normal gym wasn’t doing it for me. That’s when I discovered CrossFit. I went to one class and found out how truly out of shape I was. Form, mobility, strength, everything, was terrible yet everyone was cheering me on and high fiving me after the workout. This was the first time they’ve met me. For the first time in a while, I felt like I belonged somewhere. Through the constant challenges of correcting form and seeing little improvements every now and again, to the positive community and friendships, I was hooked.

My favorite things about CrossFit are the community, the fact that you can modify anything to elicit the same physiological response to everyone in the gym, and that the workouts are constantly varied. I also love how CrossFit will get you mentally and physically stronger so you don’t have to be afraid of or turn down awesome adventures. Since CrossFit transfers to so many other aspects of life, you’re always ready for some fun.

CJ’s CrossFit journey started in 2017 and hasn’t looked back. He got his L1 in October 2019 and says coaching is one of the most fulfilling things he’s ever done. CJ strives to make a positive impact and spread love wherever he goes as well as be a lifelong learner and constant thinker.
